September 2nd - NetEnt has recently signed four different agreements with casino operators in New Jersey in the United States. The deals are already in place, however, the digital gaming solutions provider is waiting to receive licensing in the Garden State.
NetEnt is currently waiting for the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement to complete its review of the company ahead of potential licensing. The Division of Gaming Enforcement has not yet come back with full approval, however, it has granted two transactional waivers for NetEnt in New Jersey. This is an important step forward, and is a sign of confidence from the New Jersey decision-makers.
Transactional Waivers for Borgata and bwin.party
NetEnt has been granted transactional waivers for both Borgata and bwin.party in New Jersey. The waivers allow NetEnt to begin the launch of its online gaming offerings according to the agreements that have been set up with the two New Jersey casino operators. To begin with, the company will install servers and will then launch a trial of the gaming products that will be offered. The official launch will be announced at a later date.
“The approval of the transactional waiver for Borgata and bwin.party in New Jersey marks yet another milestone in our efforts to successfully go to market and build a long-term presence in North America,” said Björn Krantz, the NetEnt Americas LLC Managing Director.
”We are working in close collaboration with our partners and the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement to secure that necessary administration is taken to successfully go live as soon as possible,” he said.
NetEnt has received two transactional waivers, however, the gaming company has already signed four agreements with New Jersey casino operators. In addition to the deals made with Borgata and bwin.party, NetEnt has also signed similar agreements with both Caesars Interactive Entertainment, and most recently with the Golden Nugget. It is unclear at this time whether NetEnt will be granted transactional waivers for the other two deals, since each waiver is granted separately.
