NetEnt is forward-thinking digital entertainment company that brings its players state of the art slot games. In order to do so, the company’s employees work in an environment that allows them to thrive. One way of doing this is by hosting special events that give employees the chance to express their innovative ideas. Amidst much excitement, the NetEnt Innovation Week 2016 has begun.
Five-Day NetEnt Innovation Week
NetEnt’s Innovation Week is a five-day program hosted by the gaming software company to give its employees the chance to attend seminars and workshops that allow individuals to broaden their horizons, and share their ideas. In addition to a number of other workshops, the five-day program includes various health and fitness initiatives, making it clear that the company looks at the bigger picture.
One of the presentations that will take place is to be given by Micael Dahlén, a professor from the Stockholm School of Economics. Dahlén will be speaking on the importance of having a fun work environment, and having fun at work. He will be explaining that a fun work environment is conducive to better innovation and creativity.
This year, after having seen a particularly positive outcome from the NetEnt Den in the past, it will once again be opened. The NetEnt Den gives employees the chance to make their own suggestions and pitch ideas that they have for gaming products. The employees are able to pitch their ideas to top management including Pontus Lindwall, a board member, and Per Eriksson, the company’s Chief Executive Officer.
The Chief Product Officer of NetEnt, Simon Hammon, commented on Innovation Week 2016, noting: “It’s important for innovative companies such as ours to take a step back from our projects and look at the overall picture of the company. NetEnt encourages its employees to be creative, and this week, we’ll be looking to bring those exciting new ideas to the fore, as well as having some fun along the way.”
