NetEnt will soon be entering the Italian retail market. The digital gaming software provider has reached an agreement in which NetEnt will supply content to Gauselmann, a German company that produces gaming machines.
NetEnt Signs Agreement with Merker Gaming Italia
Merkur Gaming Italia, Gauselmann’s subsidiary, has signed the agreement with NetEnt. Merkur distributes gaming content to the Italian market. Content will go to the Italian Comma 6a market. Merkur has more than 350,000 gaming machines in the regulated European market. This is the largest market for gaming machines that are currently regulated and in use in Europe at this time.
Merkur has vast experience in the retail gaming market. The company manufactures gaming machines and produces games, combining a quality selection of games in multi-game cabinets. Clients can choose the games that are suited to their needs. The company has about 3,000 Comma 6a gaming machines that are used in a number of locations around Italy.
The first two slots that will be distributed via Merkur are Starburst and Eggomatic, both popular NetEnt games. According to the distribution agreement, the games will be used in Merkur gaming cabinets, and can be distributed to other gaming providers. The launch date is likely to take take place during the first quarter of 2017.
