Scoring Methodology

Our individual casino scores can be interpreted as follows:

  • 85-100 – Platinum - Best choice for reliability and value.
  • 75-84 – Gold - Can’t go wrong.
  • 60-74 – Silver - A safe bet, but possibly some reservations.
  • 50-59 – Bronze - Proceed at your risk – take note of our Alerts.
  • 0-49 – Black - Don’t even think about it.

There is no doubt that the NEtEnt Software is fantastic, but there are many other issues to consider when assessing the quality, trust, and reliability of an online casino.

Most players will look at the bonus, and if the website looks decent they will go ahead and sign up. In many instances, the cracks my appear down the line, either though bad service, onerous withdrawal conditions or obstruction and poor excuses when trying to get your money out.

To help our customers make informed decisions, we have devised what we believe to be a balanced rating system that allows us to constructively investigate the merits of each casino.

Here follows an explanation of our system, including a relative weighting of each factor.

Casino Bonuses (Category Weight: 15)

We don’t say this lightly, but we are not aware of any other website that records as many attributes relating to casinos bonuses as we do. We capture more than 60 attributes for every bonus offered by a site that we review. This allows us to make an real factual assessment of the relative value of each bonus vs the fairness of its terms and conditions.

We score bonuses relative to other bonuses of the same type and value offered at Net Entertainment casinos.

Better value plus more friendly conditions will always equal a better score.

Other Promotions (Category Weight: 10)

There is so much to consider here. Sweepstakes, loyalty programs with opportunity to earn extra points, reload bonuses, tournaments, merchandise offers and much more. There is quite some disparity between casinos in terms of how much value they offer to players.

Withdrawal Processing (Category Weight: 15)

How fast, reliable and consistent is the cashout process? We actually test:

  1. Withdrawal turnaround time;
  2. Reversal time (shorter obviously being better)
  3. Withdrawal limits – does the casino limit the amount you can withdraw per week or month or even the total?

Bonus points will be scored for a Manual Flush function.

Owners and Operator (Category Weight: 15)

Who are the owners? Who operates the casino? What is their track record? Do they have a good standing with players, affiliates and the industry as a whole? How long have they been operating?

We operate a no-nonsense policy. Companies with repeated poor service, stunts and withdrawal issues will score zero in this category.

Quality and Usability (Category Weight: 5)

We look at the quality of the casino’s website, pre and post login. There is a surprisingly wide spectrum when it comes to the quality and usability of casinos sites, ranging from excellent to downright awful.

Customer Support (Category Weight: 10)

Do they have local phone numbers? What is their turnaround like for a variety of request types ranging from banking issues to questions about games? We test their service thoroughly through multiple channels like live chat and email. It does not take long to expose a casino that is simply not geared to look after their players.

Mobile Games and Platforms (Category Weight: 5)

There will be little difference between the actual mobile games at NEtEnt casinos. We look for added value in the form of promotions.

Licensing Jurisdiction (Category Weight: 15)

This is a very important factor and although most NEtEnt casinos are licensed in a trusted jurisdiction, there are a few licensed in less desirable countries. The more trusted jurisdictions offer a dispute process to players and will obviously score higher:

  • The most trusted: UK, Isle of Man, Alderney
  • Solid enough: Kahnawake
  • Passable: Malta, Curacao, Cyprus, Gibraltar

Other jurisdictions score 0.

Games (Category Weight: 5)

The great thing about many NEtEnt casinos is their incredible range of games. They will offer third party licensed games from other software developers like Bally Gaming, NextGen Gaming and Microgaming to name but a few.

Bonus Points: (Weighting: 5)

Bonus points are awarded if the online casino exceeds expectation in one or more areas. This may include exceptional promotions, commitment to fair gaming or renowned customer service.
